Some of them are. We recently started working with a company that is Fair Trade USA certified. The items from this company are the angels, polar bears, reindeer, goats, Silver Khola scarves, and the following ornaments: deer, mouse, puppy with mistletoe, and dalmatian.

We've visited the factories of both of our felt producers (one is fair trade, the other is not). The working conditions seemed very similar in both places. It is difficult to compare wages, because most employees are paid by the piece. However, the fair trade producer has more employee benefit programs. In general the employees at both facilities seemed happy with their jobs - we were able to speak to them without management present.
